Beautiful orange and yellow trees. The sun was golden and it streamed down through the clouds directly to that patch of trees. And this time I did have a camera.
On a small hill covered in green grass was the grey stone base of the house we were going to live in. I was happy about this. I wanted to take more pictures. Jamie's mom was there talking - I just wanted to take pictures. It was dark suddenly. I snapped away.
I walked out the back of the house that wasn't ours and came to a huge cliff. A drop-off - it seemed to fall forever. On the edge of the cliffs there were old buildings carved into the stone - I quickly snapped a few photos of the buildings to show people back home where we were going to live. I remember fashioning an argument, "Will an infinite cliff be a problem?"
When we were driving away from the forest, the sky was grey from a distant storm - through the clouds I could see a faint city - I think it was Denver. This was where I was to live. Everything was green and alive.
